So you’ve booked a special fishing trip, but now it’s time to pack. If you’re wondering what to bring with you on the boat, we’ve got you covered. Just stick with us and we’ll make sure your next fishing trip is one of a lifetime.
First on the list, we have fishing gear. I know, I know, this seems like a no-brainer, but we don’t want you to forget your lucky fishing pole, rod, or other fishing accessory. And hey, you might even throw in a few of those lures that helped you on your last trip!
Next on the list we have your clothes. While you’re surely packing an overnight/weekend bag for the trip, for the boat you’ll want to make sure you have enough clothes to stay warm, dry or simply comfortable. Weather can be unpredictable, so you don’t want to be caught out on the lake freezing and/or wet!
And regardless of the month or time of year, don’t forget your sunglasses, fishing hat, and sunscreen. Protect your skin and eyes with the use of protective clothing (a hat) and sunblock. This will not only keep your skin safe, but sunburn is never fun to deal with. The sunglasses will also help shield your eyes from the water’s reflection on a sunny day.
Some additional items to bring on the boat include a camera to capture the day’s events and a fish-cleaning knife for obvious purposes.
This should about do it for the main items to bring on your next fishing trip. Are there any items we missed? Let us know what you make sure to bring fishing with you in the comments below!
